Placement tips
The toilet seat should ideally be oriented so the user faces North or South, never East (towards the sun) or West.
Attached bathrooms should be in the West or North-West corner of the bedroom.
Keep the bathroom door closed at all times when not in use to prevent negative energy from spreading into the home.
Place a small healthy plant or natural stone element in the bathroom to counter stagnant energy.
Do
Ensure proper drainage flows towards the North or North-East to allow waste energy to exit correctly.
Keep the bathroom well-lit and ventilated; use exhaust fans positioned in the South or West direction.
Use light colors like white, light blue, or light green for bathroom tiles and walls.
Avoid
Never build a bathroom in the North-East (Ishanya) corner, as this pollutes the most sacred zone of the house.
Avoid placing bathrooms directly above the kitchen or puja room, as this creates serious Vastu defects.
Do not keep broken taps or leaking pipes, as these represent a constant drain of wealth and positive energy.
